The RTTs' Times
March 2004
Hi Friends,
Greetings from the RTTs' clubhouse! It's been an exciting few months for us since we released our debut CD, Turn it Up Mommy. We want to thank everyone who has gone to www.cdbaby.com/rtts and bought the record. The response to Turn it Up Mommy has been overwhelmingly positive and we wanted to share some of our exciting news with you.
The RTTs are on the charts!
That's right, the RTTs are in heavy rotation on a couple of national radio shows and we need your help to stay there. Our song "Snack Time" is #3 on the XM Radio Kid's chart. We're a couple of spots ahead of Phil Collins AND the Wiggles. Now that's progress! Check it out at: http://www.xmradio.com/pdf/xmkids_weekly_schedule.pdf
We're also being played regularly on Kid's Corner, the great show with a national audience on the prestigious station WXPN out of Philadelphia. Check out the show on-line and help us stay on the air by requesting your favorite RTTs song at http://www.kidscorner.org/kids_request.php
And WTUL, the great radio station out of Tulane in New Orleans. is getting lots of requests for the RTTs all the time on their kids show. Read their review of Turn It Up Mommy at http://thekidsshow.com/cdreviews/thertts.html
CDbaby.com, our on-line distributor, named us as one of their top sellers of December and featured us on their home page. Cdbaby has this to say about the RTTs:
"We get about 75 new albums a DAY coming in here now, (about 30,000 total), and yours is one of the best I've ever heard."
Finally the RTTs alter ego, The Rhodes Tavern Troubadours, were collectively nominated for 11 Washington Area Music Awards! In addition to other things the Troubadours were up for Album of the Year (On the Redline), Song of the Year (Redline Train), Musician of the Year (Dave), Songwriter of the Year (Jake), and Vocalist of the Year (Mark).
Keep learning your letters and thanking your mommies!
